William G. Crowden
Mr. William Gary Crowden, 73, of Florence, passed away Feb. 10, 2013, at ECM Hospital, following an extended illness. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Jacksonburg Church of Christ followed by the service at 3:30 p.m. with Gary Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Crowden was a retired heavy equipment operator for TVA and a member of Jacksonburg Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard Crowden and Margaret Lee Crowden; and a brother, James H. Crowden. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Crowden; sons, Darren Crowden (Jennifer), Randy Crowden and Mark Crowden (Sandra); sister, Carolyn Moore; niece, Tina Reatherford; grandchildren, Emily Anderson (Keith), Sarah Oakley (Eric) and Tara Crowden; great-grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin and Isaac.
Pallbearers will be Darren Crowden, Randy Crowden, Mark Crowden, Keith Anderson, Eric Oakley and Sloan Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Reatherford, Jimmy Reatherford, Mickey Reatherford, Jim Coble, James R. Clemmons and Jr. Behel.
