William "W.O." Pettus, age 70, of Lexington, Ala., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at ECM Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., a carpenter, served in the Army Reserves, and was a member of Greens Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. Brother Bill Smith and T.R. William will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pettus Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Survivors are wife, Marcelle Mashburn Pettus, Lexington, Ala.; one daughter, Gwen Pettus Alsup and husband, Allen, Lexington, Ala.; two sisters, Neva Davis, Center Hill, Ala., and Betty Landtroop, St. Joseph, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Joseph Alsup, Kayla Alsup Stutts, and Tara Alsup Pearson.
