James Maxon McGouyrk, age 92, of Florence, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m., Sunday, May 18, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence.
The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McGouyrk was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Force. He was retired from Reynolds Alloys and was a member of Calvary Fellowship and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Annie Mae McGouyrk; brothers, Emmitt and John Allen McGouyrk; and sister, Lucille Burnett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elaine; daughter, Rhonda Goode and husband, Tim; son, Steve McGouyrk and wife, Dianne; sister, Vela Mae Hales; grandchildren, Aleah Goode, Daniel McGouyrk and wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Ramona Stephens and loving pet, Garfield "Caty Boy."
Pallbearers will be Daniel McGouyrk, Tim Goode, Bob Freeman, Josh Holder, Dick Perry and Tommy Bohannon.
