Ed Haag will be leading the service to celebrate his life.
The Guest Book is expired.
Mr. Berry was very strong in his faith and a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was only in Vietnam a short time but continued till his death "once a Marine, always a Marine." We will never know the strength he must have had to have endured the past 45 years just to live a somewhat normal life.
What joy it would have been to see the smile on his face when he was reunited with his parents, James and Marie Berry. The love he had for his wife, Sandy Norman Berry, was a true love story and a perfect example to all. The joy of his life was being a daddy to Kim (Jason) Allen and Tracy (Fred) Smith and being more than a grandfather to his grandchildren, Victoria and Lauren Springer, Shelby Grace Thaxton, Daniel Berry and William Smith, and his "little buddy" and great-grandson, Jackson Cromwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
