Lenice Etoil Mitchell, 90, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Colbert County, but had lived in Franklin County most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist church.
The funeral service will be today at 11 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery, Russellville. Officiating will be Dennis Steward and Jeff Fleming. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 29, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Survivors include children, Charles Mitchell and O.D. Mitchell, both of Russellville, Betty Harris, and Carl Mitchell, both of Phil Campbell, and David Mitchell, Muscle Shoals; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Anis Jackson; husband, William Lester Mitchell; son, Avery Mitchell; brothers, Alton, Curtis, and Clarence Jackson; sisters, Zammer Bruce, Unise Seahorn, and Carrie Isbell.
Pallbearers will be Too Mitchell, Yogi Setliff, William Mitchell, Willard Mitchell, Davie Mitchell, and Leslie Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Mitchell and Allen Mitchell.
The family extends a special thanks to Advantage Hospice and the staff at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
