Mrs. Long graduated from Marshall County High School in 1956, attended Columbia Business School for two years and worked briefly at a radio station in Columbia before marrying in 1958. She was a homemaker and worked side by side with her husband as he served in the military and they raised their family. After retirement from the military, the family moved to the Laws Hill community where they worked and lived for over 40 years. In 1984, she and her husband operated a market (My Place) in Laws Hill until his death in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisburg, and she loved and served our Lord, her family and friends. She loved everyone, and we all loved her so much. Nothing will be the same without her.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Long, of Florence, Alabama, Cindy Long and Cathy Long, both of the Laws Hill community; a sister-in-law, Emma Long, of Dalton, Georgia; an aunt, Ruth Neese, of Shelbyville Tennessee; cousins, nieces and nephews.
