Emma Josephine Black, 85, of Tuscumbia, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Guy Cemetery, with Ed White officiating the service.
Mrs. Black was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County. She was a member of Valdosta Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bruce Black; her son-in-law, Bobby Poth; her parents; brothers; and sisters.
Mrs. Black is survived by her daughters, Sue Evans and husband, Robert, of Millbrook, Betty Coburn and husband, Roy, of Tuscumbia, and Carol Joy Poth, of Littleville; sisters, Jewel Helms, California, and Margaret Gaddis, Texas; grandchildren, Tommy Evans and wife, Jewel, Amy Johnson and husband, Matt, Michael Evans, Jerry Evans, Byron Coburn and Callie Rose Poth; great-grandchildren, Alyssa O'Steen, Neal Evans, Julian Evans, Nolan Evans, Emma Evans, Allie Coburn and Delaney Johnson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tommy Evans, Michael Evans, Jerry Evans, Byron Coburn and Matt Johnson, and nephew, Ross Willingham.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Evans and Roy Coburn.
The family of Mrs. Black expresses special thanks to Station 3 staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth for all the love and care given to Mrs. Black.
