RENDER, Troy Lyons, 43, departed this life to be with the Lord on January 2, 2010. Troy, son of the late Frank W. Render II and Eva M. Smith, was born on October 31, 1966 in Richmond, Va.; he was the youngest of three sons. Troy received his early education in Northern Virginia. He eventually graduated from Pheobus High School (Hampton, Va.) in 1984. After high school, Troy was employed at Hampton University. After relocating to Richmond, he was employed by Wal-Mart and then SuperValu. Having given his life to Christ, Troy worshiped and fellowshipped at New Birth Fellowship Ministries in South Richmond. Troy leaves unforgettable memories of a beautiful life to be treasured by his devoted mother, Eva M. Smith; two brothers, Frank W. Render III and Rhett A. Render; a loving fiancee, Christine Reed; two uncles and two aunts, Alvis O. Smith (O'Telia), Vincent D. Smith and Kathy Wheatley (Robert); numerous cousins, one devoted, Monique D. Smith; two nephews, Anton M. Render and Quamaine Render; one niece, Brittaney McCray; one devoted second cousin, Dyamond Wyatt; and other relatives and devoted friends. Troy's memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th Street, Richmond, Va. 23223.
