Bill, Johnny, Doris, and Beverly,

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Gertie. She and Uncle Russell had such a wonderful sense of humor and could tell such great stories about Granny Holland.

There are still times when I need to know something(like about cooking something in particular) when my first reaction would be to call mom and ask, and then it hits you all over again that you can't do that anymore. I hope you will make it through this difficult time and keep in touch with each other even more than usual.

I have been retired and am living in Mobile, Alabama. So far, I haven't been back to visit Virginia.

Again, I am sorry for your loss, love, Margaret Lee (Holland) King

My condolences and prayers go to the family of this dear and special lady.
In talking with her over the years, I felt I practically knew her family, especially Bill, Catherine, and Bev. I know she will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but there will be a special place in my heart that will definitely take a while to heal because of her passing. I thought a lot of this very special little lady. Goodbye, Ms Holland.

Bill, John and Doris, I was saddened by the loss of your mother. I spent many happy hours in her home as we all grew up. I was fortunate to visit with her in recent years while in Williamsburg. My mother passed away last June so I know your loss and sorrow. I always enjoyed being in her company as well as Mrs. Matty. My prayers are with you and I know she will be missed by you and your families. May God bless each one of you.
