EVANS, Mary Jane, of Richmond, departed this life October 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Evans Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Woody; one son, Wilbert Jones; seven grandchildren, Gregory, Gary and Gerald Woody, Amanda Montague, Tonya Lewis-Malone, Marquita Lewis and Jaimell Johnson; 22 great- grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren; one brother, Irvin Willis; a host of nieces, among them two devoted, Ruth Ann Goode and Patricia Evans; nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Jones; one sister-in-law, Sheila Willis; and other relatives and friends, among them a goddaughter, Joanne Bourdreaux. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Interment will be in Mebane, North Carolina. Family and friends please assemble at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Online condolences can be made at www.jenkinsjr.com.
