Dear Mrs. Dyson and Joyce,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. You don't know me, but I worked with Al for several years at Jefferson Manufacturing Company. We spent a lot of time together working side by side and riding to the Petersburg Plant. We had some wondeful conversations and I considered Al a good friend. I have thought about him so many times over the years. Al was an inspiration to me and truly changed my views on so many things about life. I will always remember him and cherish his life. My name was Martha Hinson then - it is Martha Garraghty now.

To The Dyson Family,
As you grieve know that I'm remembering you and honoring the memory of Mr. Alvin W. Dyson. Mr. Dyson was a great, loving, caring and friendly man to all. I had some wonderful times with Mr. Dyson; talking, laughing and him telling me some great old stories. He will truly be missed around Westminster Canterbury Richmond, especially walking, waving and smiling down the hallways of WCR. Rest in peace, Mr. Alvin W. Dyson
