Ms. Hoggany was my 6th grade teacher in the 90s. She taught me to be strong and to never give up. She was a beautiful and smart woman. She gave us an awesome 6th grade Ball. Ring dance that night was amazing. Thank you Ms. Hoggany for all you taught me and May you continue to rest peacefully

Edith and I were both history majors at Virginia State College (University). At State, she was a trailblazer. Due to her dynamic leadership, the yearbook was dedicated to her and several other Trojans during her senior year.
For twelve years, she and I worked together at Mosby Middle School. She sponsored the International Festival at Mosby for many years. She advocated global learning long before the concept was popularized. She encouraged her students to strive for excellence. She definitely made "bricks without straw."
Edith has left footprints in cement.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
May your faith and memories sustain you during this difficult time.

I had Ms.Hoggany as a teacher back when I was in 6th Grade. She really made a difference in my life, she helped me get where I am today. If it wasnt for her I wouldnt have graduated early, or know my full potential. I just want to pay my respects, and say thank you. May you rest in peace. You will always remain in my heart, prayers, and memories.

Edith was my childhood friend. We grew up in the same community. I lost track of her after elementary school, but ran into her again during her tenure as an educator at Mosby MS. It was so very special for us to laugh & recall our memories of youthfulness. She was definitely a beautiful person inside and outside. My sincere condolences to the family. May you find peace in God's decision to take her home. Sincerely,

To the family of Edith Hoggany, I was one of Ms. Hoggany students in the 70's at Mosby Middle School. She taught me how to be a lady and respect myself. I enjoyed going to the 6th grade dance and I have precious memories of that day. I will never forget her precious smile and her uplifting words. Thank you Ms. Hoggany setting the foundation for me.

Edith I was in church when I found out you died and it broke my heart. I just want to thank you for always being there for me and my papa when he was alive always taking care of him. I loved seeing your face at church you always brightend up my day. You were on my mind so strong for the past month now, I guess I knew I should have visited you for the last time. Edith Hoggany was an excellent educator. The students were taught how to respect others. Whenever an adult walked in her room, her students had to stand up and remain standing ujtil they were told to sit down by Ms. Hoggany. She and her other co-workers did a wonderful job with the annual 6th grade ball at Mosby Middle School. The students dressed up and participated in dinner and dance. Ms. Hoggany knew her subject area which was history. She was a great co-worker and dedicated educator.
