HUGH FOUNTAIN Obituary

FOUNTAIN, Mr. Hugh Lee Jr., 85, of Richmond, passed away June 21, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory six sisters, Mildred F. Weekes, Ellalee F. Flowers (Stafford), LaVerne B. Fountain, Arlette F. Hill, Marie A. Fountain and Eulalia F. Morris; one brother, Woodson M. Fountain (Jean); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. where the family will receive friends Sunday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Remains will lie in state Monday, 10 a.m. at Ebenizer Baptist Church, 216 West Leigh St. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Dr. Levy M. Armwood, pastor, Rev. Barbara J. Morton officiating. Eulogy by Gary L. Flowers. Burial Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, C/O John Payton, 99 Hudson St., Suite 1600, New York, NY, 10013.
