To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

Tabb da man...the smiling face that greeted me as I joined The Emergency Communications Center 7 years ago. He was always a pleasure being around and kept each and every person smiling.I had the pleasure of receiving his knowledge in the field of Emergency Communications being trained by him. There truly are no words adequate enough to say goodbye, or see you later, to a friend. We worked together for a short period of time, but what you taught me will last me a lifetime. I had the pleasure of working with Dominic for almost five years at the Communications Center. He always kept the work environment very positive and always had a smile on his face. He always could make anyone laugh. It is still so hard to believe that he is no longer with us, but I know that he is with God now and at peace. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Tabb family. To his children, your father loved you so much and was so proud of you. He spoke so highly of you that the stories he shared of you are so vivid. I worked with Dominic and he was like a big brother to me. He always had a positive attitude and a joke or phrase to make you laugh. Tabb had an open door policy, “anytime you need me, I’ll be there”, and if he was not there at the moment, he was one phone call away. I can truly say out of all the names he called me, “Afro-Deez,” will remain with me forever and the phrase “live your life today and not for tomorrow.” Dominic Tabb will remain in our memories forever and God Bless the family during your time sorrow.

Come, and let us return to the Lord, for he has torn, but He will heal us. He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After 2 days He will revive us, on the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Hosea 6:1-2...To the family and friends of Dominic Tabb, he will be truly missed however when our Father calls we must answer. I enjoyed our time together as his coworker, his supervisor and especially his friend. Tabb always had me in stitches with one of his jokes, that was a sign of his happiness. To the Tabb family,
I heard of Tabb’s passing through my former co-worker and supervisor at Richmond DEC. Even though I only knew Tabb for about 10 months, I could never forget him. My strongest memory of him is how he never hesitated to help me when I was learning, and he was always someone I knew I could go to if I had a question. He was a genuine and good hearted person and it was apparent through his actions and the way he treated everyone. He clearly had so much positive influence here on earth, and he was the source of A LOT of laughter and support for everyone who ever had the privilege of working with him, no matter how short a period of time. That is why I will always be grateful for having had the honor of working with him. My condolences and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
