Ruth McCullers Curry

CURRY, Ruth McCullers. In loving memory of Ruth McCullers Curry, 98, the matriarch of the McCullers Family, born April 6, 1912 in Wake County, N.C., died on June 16, 2010. She was the loving and devoted mother of Dorothy Chamberlayne, and she remained strong and positive until her final moment. She is survived by one daughter and her spouse, Francis D. Chamberlayne of the home; a devoted extended family Russell (Jackie) and Mark (Natalie) Parsley; a devoted caregiver, Brenda Starks (niece); one sister-in-law, Eugenia McCullers of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Herbert Bell of Smithfield, N.C.; a host of devoted nieces, great- nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., where family will receive friends Sunday and give reflections from 4 to 5 p.m. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Remains will be transferred to Calton L. Gray Funeral Services, 2810 Kidd Rd., Raleigh, N.C., for funeral services and interment.
