Dear Galen: Remember me, your first wife's best friend Vickie B. When I heard you had passed, Beth and I had a good cry together. Whenever I saw you, you always were waiting with a drink ready for me, gin and tonic as I walked in the door to see you and Beth and the family when you made it to Charlotte at Ben and Katherine's. What I remember of you is a great guy who will be truly missed.
God bless you man, so how's your new life in your new world? Great I bet.
Hugs.

My heartful and sincere condolences to all the family members. I worked with Gator for many years in Dominion VA Power and knew him for over 25 years. I met his first wife in 1980's and I know Kathy for very long time. I just want to tell you that Gator was a one of a kind. He always smiled even when things were not right. He was in my car when he had his first heart attack many years ago and we were coming back from visiting a friend in hospital . I will miss him and wish you all the best.

My sincere condolences to all the family. Galen will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. I have known him over 37 years, he is and was always considered family to me. Every time I saw him he always had that sweet smile and always so pleasant to be around and talk to, I will miss him dearly. We shared so many good memories over the years, they will never be forgotten. He always talked about his love for his kids, I know you will miss him very much, and I am so sorry for the loss of your dearly loved father. Galen, I love you, may you rest in peace.

My parents are Bobby & Brenda Langston and were close friends of Galen's. My father worked with Galen for many years before his passing several years ago. I considered Galen to be much like an uncle. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing as he was truly a great and honorable man. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to his family.
