My deepest sorrow for your loss.
Amarria's story has touched me in so many ways. As a city employee, a future teacher, a mother, and a food allergy sufferer. She has inspired me to fight for EpiPens in our schools and better food allergy awareness.
I will not forget you, Amarria. And I will not let others forget.
God bless.

The School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act was recently introduced, so that all public elementary and secondary schools in the US will have emergency epinephren and someone trained to administer it on site. It is possible, this may have helped save Amarria's life. Please go to the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis's website to learn how you can help support it.

Personally, I think the name should be changed to the Amarria Johnson School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act.

My sincere condolences for the loss of Amarria. Death is painful esp when you loose a loved one at such a young age. Jehovah is a loving God and doesnt cause these bad things to happen. Yet he allows them to happen but Jehovah provides those of us that are loyal
the hope of everlasting life.

To Amarria's family,
As a food allergy mother I do not have the proper words. My heart breaks for the entire family, and please know, you have been in my prayers and so many others in the community since we heard about this. I know I will have to share this story with my 7 year old, before she returns to school tomorrow (she was sick all last week) and I am scared. We try so hard to protect them, to try to give them a 'normal' life, but LIFE is our primary goal. From all of the articles and tv news stories, it seems you did a wonderful job of raising a well balanced happy child who was aware of her food allergies. From the interviews with her grandfather, that I have seen, I keep posting them and saying that he is my HERO. In this time of unimaginable pain, he is looking for ways to ensure this never happens again, and how he can help save my child's life and the lives of all others with food allergies. Maybe the current proposed law in congress for epi-pens in all schools, should have it's name changed to the Amarria Bill. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with you, I have already posted how to donate to the Amarria Johnson Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo (it is a little tricky for those outside of Virginia - use mother's name (Laura Pendleton) and Chesterfield VA) If the teller can't do it, get a supervisor and have them keep trying!

Again, families love and prayers go to your family!
ps - I will post again with links to this proposed bill

My deepest sympathy goes to Ammaria's loving family at this extremely difficult time. I have a child with severe life threatening allergies and it takes exhausting efforts 24 hrs a day to prevent a reaction. I like what a previous poster wrote about Ammarias law. To have all schools and teachers trained to use the epi pen. This just makes me want to speak louder for these children with life threatening allergies! I will be Ammarias, my son's, and every child with food allergies advocate. We have a voice we must be heard. I hope you get the answers to this mystery and know us allergy moms will support you in any way. Peace and love to your family
