GITTMAN, Lucy Ann, 97, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jessie Gittman. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Wood; sons, Howard, Hartford and Luther Gittman; a sister, Catherine Watson; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member at Friendship Baptist Church for over 20 years. The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maury Cemetery.
