Being a woodworker, Ed and I talked shop occasionally. Back around 2005 or so I would go by his workplace to scrounge, they would put out scraps of wood for woodworkers like me on the loading dock. One day Ed came by our house, we were talking about wood and stuff. and he told me they had a bunch of hickory I could have. I scarfed up on that, and used it over the next few years for various projects.
Ed was a great guy, gentle, quiet, and he had a winning smile. The kind of person you just liked being around. I'm looking forward to seeing him in heaven, I'm sure he'll be glad to show me around, and introduce me to all his heavenly buddies!

i had the privilege of knowing Ed through MIller Manufacturing's softball team. he was an excellent player and had a great desire to win. i think it was his marine corps training; however, he was also a gentle, loving person who will be fondly remembered.

Was shocked to read about this in this morning's paper, too late to make the funeral. Please know that the family is in our prayers. May God give you peace and comfort in knowing that he is in the arms of Jesus at this very moment.

Dear Elsie and Dale's children, Patsy, Jean, Violet, and Linda, I am so sorry to learn of his passing. My heart is broken for you. I have nothing but good memories of my time of having known Dale so long ago. I know that he had to have been one of the greatest husbands and dads the world has ever known. He was always such a kind and considerate man. And I know he loved his Lord and his family beyond all else. I know how much you will miss him, but I also know that there is great peace in your hearts just knowing where he is. My prayers and thoughts are with you as they have been for the past several months. God bless you all. In Christ's love, Linda

To you all, I'm so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. It was always such a pleasure to see him on my visits to Richmond. I remember him at the kids games and how much he enjoyed watching them. He will be greatly missed by all of us. It was an honor and pleasure to have known him.

Ed was a great father, we were witness to his great pride in his son, James so many times. He was always there to support him & so amazed that he was blessed with such a talented son. Ed had such a great sense of humor & a quaint way of expressing himself. He will be missed, but he lives on through James & the whole family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ed's family and friends during this difficult time. I will always remember and cherish the many many laughs we shared. You touched so many lives in such wonderful ways. Oh....that smile & that laugh of yours will never be forgotten. It was a pleasure to have known you and to have you as a friend. God certainly gained an Angel in calling you home. Rest in peace, Ed. Your memories will be cherished always. You will be missed by so many!
