Ann Ols

OLS, Ann Wendell, age 83, passed away peacefully with family on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Va. She was born January 18, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late James and Helen Wendell. She was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, George A. Ols Jr.; and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Killam. She is survived by her children, Miriam C. Motley of Maidens, Va., Ann M. Ols, George A. Ols III, Matthew J. Ols, of Richmond, Va. and Gretchen O. Hyde of Kennesaw, Ga. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Katy Stedina, Harold Killam, Amy Killam, Elizabeth Motley, Sean Newton, Savanna Ols, Madelyn Ols, Virginia Hyde, Georgianna Hyde; and one great-grandchild, Adam Stedina. A celebration of life will be held at the Joseph Bliley Funeral Home, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, Va. 23224, on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Northstar Academy, 8055 Schrader Road, Richmond, Va. 23294.
