COX, Annie, of Richmond, departed this life October 21, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Cox; and one son, Purcell A. Cox. She is survived by one daughter, Beatrice Cox; one son, Arthur R. Cox; five grandchildren, Lisa Cox, Darlene Frye, Sheila Frye, Nikita Jones and Ronnie Cox; six great- grandchildren, three great- great-grandchildren; one sister, Rev. Shirley Eggleston; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Cox; one brother-in-law, Junius Eggleston; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at Guildfied Baptist Church, 2550 Manakin Town Ferry Road. Rev. Walter Roy, pastor, Rev. Ethyel Coleman officiating. Interment church cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Monday. Please omit food.
