Aram Babertzian

BABERTZIAN, Aram, born August 29, 1921, passed away July 6, 2010. He is survived by Eva, his beloved wife of 65 years; daughter, Barbara, and son-in-law, Kerry Jorgenson; daughter, Linda Georgiadis; grandchildren, Dimitri and Alexandria Georgiadis; sister and brother-in-law, Sophie and Thomas Boyajian; as well as many nieces and nephews. Aram flew 34 missions as a radio gunner in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II. He received an Air Medal for meritorious acts during military operations in the Bismarck Archipelago Area. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen. A memorial service will be held at St. James Armenian Church, 834 Pepper Avenue in Richmond, on Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m.
