JONES, Barbara B., 74, of Midlothian, died December 14, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Jones; her daughter, Debora J. Jones; two grandchildren, Brandon Wayne and Meghan Linn; two sisters, Margaret Guy and Edith Fallwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was an active member of Elkhardt Baptist Church. She retired from Verizon and currently worked at CJW Medical Center. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Elkhardt Baptist Church, 6715 Hull Street Road, Richmond, 23224, and where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elkhardt Baptist Church and/or to the Massey Cancer Center.

Edward, I am sorry to have learned of Barbara's untimely departure.I worked with her at Chippenham and truely enjoyed the time we shared.She made me laugh and was so much younger than her years. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Jean Nelson, Midlothian, VA

Edward and family, I am so sorry to hear about Barbara. We worked together at Ma Bell(C&P Telephone)for several years, and she was a happy and loving person. She will be missed. Trust in the Lord and He will bring you through this difficult time. My prayers are with you and the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Barbara at Chippenham PBX for many years. She was a terrific lady who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She spoke often of her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
