Barbara Lemon Obituary

LEMON, Barbara Rice, born February 3, 1931, went home to the Lord on November 17, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Filmore Lemon. She is survived by two daughters, Lou Ann Zell and Kimberley Patterson and her husband, David; and a most beloved grandson, Carter Lee Patterson. Mrs. Lemon retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School and Bible School. A special thanks to the nurses, staff and doctors of Hanover Health & Rehabilitation Center. We appreciate your kindness and comfort in Mrs. Lemon's final days. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Expansion Fund at Fairmount Christian Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Bennett Funeral Home in Mechanicsville, and where services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment immediately following the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Lou Ann and Kim,
You will you definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. I know your mom had not been doing well, but now there is no more pain and suffering. She was wonderful, loving, and kind hearted lady. She will truly be missed.
