BAKER, Beatrice "Irene" Clark, 70, of Sandston, fell asleep in death on Thursday, December 17, 2009. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Franklin G. Baker, also of Sandston; four daughters, Elizabeth Berry (James) of Sandston, Patricia Christopher (Wallace) of Bowling Green, Sherry Baker (Troy), of Amelia, and Katherine McDonald (Mike) of Richmond; one son, SPC Timothy F. Baker of Ft. Riley, Kansas; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Adele Poythress of Mechanicsville and Yvonne Ramage of Kentucky; a twin brother, Eugene Clark of Kentucky; and a host of loving family members and friends. She was a Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years, a member of the Ruther Glen congregation and then the Dorey Park congregation after moving to Sandston. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va., where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Cemetery, Hanover.

Frank, I just learned of your loss. I am so sorry. You were so devoted to Irene and it was always a pleasure to observe the love you two shared. I will miss seeing you at Crump. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Lauryn Boyd, Bea Byrd;s daughter.
