Bessie Carnes KRAMER

KRAMER, Bessie Carnes, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009. Born in Rome, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Euclid Carnes and Catherine Dempsey Carnes. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Charles Kramer; and her siblings, three sisters and 13 brothers. She is survived by her son, Theodore C. "Ted" Kramer Jr. of Manteo, N.C., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kramer lived in the Richmond, Va. area for several years and, after her husband's death, served as President of Kramer Brothers, Inc. She retired to Manteo and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her special dog, Magnum. A visitation was held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Twiford Funeral Home in Manteo. A funeral service will be held at Bliley's-Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2 p.m., with visitation before the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will occur in Holy Cross Cemetery.
