MARRIOTT, Brenda Lindsey, 65, of Richmond, died July 4, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Carlyle and Bertha Lindsey. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, John Neblett Marriott; son, William Carlyle Marriott; and sister, Alberta Lindsey, all of Richmond, Va. Brenda attended R.P.I. (now the Virginia Commonwealth University) and was a librarian at Richmond Newspapers Incorporated for 15 years. She grew up at Calvary United Methodist Church, where she kept children in the nursery for many years. For the last 25 years she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, 903 Forest Ave., where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel-Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or CARITAS, P.O. Box 25790, Richmond, Va. 23260. We are so sorry to hear of Brenda's loss with her courageous battle. We so enjoyed her sweet spirit and love of our children as our babysitter for CBS. Our love and prayers for your great comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brenda and her family went to Calvary Methodist Church when I was growing up. I also lived just a couple of blocks from Brenda. She was a lovely person. I am certain that Brenda will be missed by her family and friends.

So sorry for your family loss. I graduated with Brenda from Highland Springs High School. She was always friendly and kind to others. I know she will be greatly missed by everyone. May the Lord be with you in your time of grief.
