Brittany Knapp Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Dec. 13, 2009.
KNAPP, Brittany Sue, January 20, 1997 to December 7, 2009. To my little angel, you will be missed more than you know. Though I will miss you every day that we are apart, I have made my peace knowing I have set you free to fly among the angels happy and whole once again. Until we meet again, know that I love you with every fiber of my body. She is survived by her mother, Andrea Knapp; father, Cornelius Taylor; brothers, Brandon Hopewell and Ryan Taylor; sisters, Chelsie Stanford and Chloe Taylor; maternal grandparents, Karen and Ed Mellott; maternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Darlene Boyer, Jeannette Mellott; paternal grandparent, Estelle Hicks; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss you very much. Preceded in death by great-grandfather, Milton Mellott; and grandfather, Leon Hicks. We love you. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19 at Chesterfield Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Noah's Children. Online condolences may be made at Blileys.com.

"In Christ, we are a new creation, behold the old has past and all things have become new!" Brittany, I want to thank you for everyday I was able to spend with you, even though it wasn't very much time. I miss you everyday. No one ever promised that life was going to be easy, and I know you went through more than your share of obstacles. I hold to the peace that the Lord has given you a new body, and a place where you can run and play and sing. One day I'll see you again, and I'll give you a big hug! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
