ALLEN, Carol Lee "Big Boy," 85, of 14447 Brink Road, Emporia, Va., died July 6, 2010, at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center. Mr. Allen was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a farmer and co-owner of Allen's Pumpkin Farm. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Woodruff Allen; daughter, Renee A. Moore and her husband, Terry, of Glen Allen; son, Ronnie L. Allen and his wife, Deborah, of Emporia; two sisters, Mable Magee of Glen Allen and Alyse Roach of Emporia; brother, Cecil Allen of Emporia; four grandchildren, Allison Nunnally of Richmond, Kimberly Howell of Hurricane, W.Va., Daniel Allen of Lynchburg and Katie C. Allen of Emporia. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Wrenn, Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, 1015 W. Fifth St., Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Friday, July 9, 2010, at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in Greensville Memorial Cemetery, Emporia, Va. The family will receive friends at Wrenn, Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service Thursday, July 8, 2010, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, c/o Patsy Bennett, 32 Triplet Rd., Valentines, Va. 23887.

Mrs Allen & Family, I am deeply sorry for you loss. You have all been through a lot this year and our hearts are with you. It was a blessing everyone was able to be together again at home before God came calling. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love you all so much!
