Ceress Ford Obituary

FORD, Ceress Stanley, widow of Woodrow V. Ford, passed away on January 13, 2010 at age 88. She was retired from Robert Phillipson, Certified Public Accountants. Ceress is survived by her son, Craig Ford and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Ford. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ashley Patterson and Kara Ford; and great-grandchildren, Ella and Daniel Patterson. Ceress was a lifelong member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church where she and her husband enjoyed many years of active membership. She was a loving and charitable person to all who knew her. She enjoyed "the simple things in life," family, friends, church, and gardening. Articles about her rose gardens were featured in local newspapers. A special thanks to the kind people at the Doswell House, especially Dulcie and Michael Lacey for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 7343 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Virginia 23228. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's- Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. Services will be Monday at 12 noon at Bliley's - Staples Mill Chapel, followed by entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
