Charles Herbert SMITH

SMITH, Charles Herbert, 75, of Richmond, passed away October 25, 2009. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally. He is loved and will be remembered every day by his children, who consist of his son, Bill Smith; four daughters, Sue Lovell, Karen Mazza and her husband, Vince, Janet Arnett and her husband, Rick, and Debbie Sadler and her husband, Jeff. He will be missed by his eight grandchildren, Aaron Christian and his wife, Allison, and Kelly Christian, Chad Lovell, Vicky, Christy, and Charlie Mazza, and Courtney and Nicole Sadler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Ethel Smith; and survived by his brother, Thomas. Charles was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and enjoyed boating and being at the river. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working on the computer. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., and where the service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
