BECK, Mrs. Charlotte Elizabeth Brown, of Richmond, died on June 6, 2010, at the age of 78, at Henrico Doctors' Hospital. Mrs. Beck graduated with a degree in nursing from Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore, Md. in 1954. She served as a lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps from 1956 to 1959. Mrs. Beck worked as a registered nurse at Maryland General Hospital; Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C.; the Marine Hospital and Curn Ann Hospital, Baltimore, Md.; Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Md.; and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, Baltimore, Md. She is survived by her husband, Carroll M. Beck; her daughter, Elizabeth Kucera and her husband, Michael; and two granddaughters, Samantha and Hailee Kucera. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
