Clara Garrison Obituary

GARRISON, Clara Mae, age 87, of Chester, Va., passed away Monday, November 1, 2010. She was born in Giles County, Va., the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Margaret Kirk Mustard. Mrs. Garrison was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Garrison; her daughter, Sandra Kay Garrison McNeely; and a sister, Juanita Lorene Mustard Sarver. She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church for approximately 35 years. Mrs. Garrison was an excellent cook, and loved to sew and take care of her African Violets. She is survived by her son, Gerald David Garrison of Midlothian, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friends, Nancy Brockwell, Barbara Britt, and Jo Allen. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Friday, November 5 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment afterwards in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
