"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage each other with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17, NIV
To the family: I am praying that God will comfort you at this time. May you feel and know that He loves you. Be encouraged with the hope of being reunited with "CL" when Jesus comes again.

I remember CL so well from Maggie Walker - Class of 70. He was always joking with my sister, Judith Gayle Lacy - who went home to be with the Lord 5 years ago. He was a wonderful classmate during that time. I hadn't seen him in years, but I remember him fondly.

My deepest sympathies to the Jenkins family on the passing of my dear friend, C. L. We have known each other since we were four years old and attended Mrs. Waller's Nursery school. We "travelled" all through school together from West End to Randolph and Maggie Walker. "C" was a serious student and a phenomenal athelete and we shared lots of good times together. Even when our lives took us to Atlanta, we stayed in touch. And, most recently he, Marvin, my family and I worshipped together at Moore Street. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I will miss him always and hold him close to my heart forever.

Grow, live and love with the assurance that God doesn't make any mistakes and his earthly mission was completd. My prayers are with each of you and especially the kids.
