Clyde Evely Sr.

EVELY, Colonel Clyde P. Sr., USAF Ret., passed away Wednesday evening April 7, 2010. Passing on before him were his wife, Rachel B. Evely; and his daughter, Diane E. Evely. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Joyce Costner of Richmond, Va.; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Clyde P. Evely Jr. of Catawba, Va.; and his beloved granddaughter, Tristy Evely of Cary, N.C. Clyde was a dedicated officer in the Air Force for over 30 years and a pilot of some renown, a faithful member of his church wherever he lived, and a generous provider for his family and those in need. We thank God for his life. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
