I send my deepest sympathy to Danny Bowers' family and pray for them during this time of adjustment. I remember him coming to our home on Thomas Drive to play with my brother, Bill Payne.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the family. I went to elementary, junior high, and high school with Danny. We played quite frequently during the early years of elementary school and had many fun times. I lived at the corner of Austin Avenue and Parlow Drive but have not lived in the Richmond area for many years. Larry Parker, Virginia Beach, Va.

I am missing my brother so very much. I am finding comfort by thinking that he is up above having a cocktail with Jeanne and Russell. Danny was a wonderful son, a loving husband and a great father. He was always just a phone call away, and he always brought a smile to my face. I will miss his sense of humor and his unique ways of showing he cared.

Betty, Chris, Amy and Johnny,
I was so shocked and sad to read this. I have known Danny, Johnny and family since we were children on Springdale Road. He was a wonderful boy and man. We all had some good times at the pool and in Scouts with our sons. I have thought about you all so much going up Princess anne drive and wondering how you were doing. My heart goes out to your family at this trying time and I know that God is watching over you all.

I am so saddened to learn of Dan's passing. He was great fun to be with and had a wicked sense of humor. I rememberBetty and Dan's beautiful wedding in December 1971. Our deepest sympathies to Betty and family.

Woody and I would like to express our deepest sympathies - we both grew up with Danny in the same neighborhood and went to high school with him at Highland Springs.

My thoughts and deepest sympathy to Betty and her family; it's been a long time since I saw Dan and Betty; but I will never forget the fun times Winston and I spent with Dan and Betty, especially waiting for the doves to cook (I was in my early 20s); and of course, I will always remember Dan loving to hunt and coming to the Shenandoah Valley to hunt and bringing home Thanksgiving dinner for the Gillenwaters! May God take care of all of you during your time of grief! My deepest sympathy!
Dan, words can’t be described how much you will be missed. Thank you for 38 wonderful years. I love you forever...
