CHILDRESS, Dolly Fay Huffer, died on October 31, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" J. Childress Jr.; her parents, Whitney Boyd Huffer and Elise Elizabeth Fitzgerald Huffer; former husband, James M. Kirtley Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon K. Needham and her husband, C. Malcolm Jr.; son, James M. "Marty" Kirtley Jr. and his wife, Jackie, Greg W. Kirtley Sr., William J. "Joey" Childress III; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. Graveside service will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery.
