GREEN, Earl James, age 72, of Chester, Virginia passed away Friday, November 20, 2009. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John William and Margaretta Ash Green. Mr. Green was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Allstate prior to his career as a self-employed realtor. He was a devoted member and Past Master of the Joppa Lodge No. 40 A.F. & A.M. and a member of ACCA Temple. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara W. Green; brothers, John Charles "Chuck" Green, Robert Wayne Green, Donald Wesley Green, and Douglas Richard Green; seven nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Fawn. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 22 at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
