Hello,
I just submitted a photo of a Miss Edith Christian, taken in Blackstone, VA many years ago. I found it in some photos from my father's family. They lived in Petersburg and Colonial Heights for many years. If there is a living family member who would like this photo, please contact me.
Kind regards,
Jamie Colgin

We have known Edith for over 20 years and are saddened at her sudden passing. She was a good friend and neighbor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We will remember the softball tournaments and the Friday night dinners with the group. Al & Brooke Meisel

I was shocked and speechless upon hearing about Edth's sudden death after having talked tp her only a few days earlier inquiring about her recently started cancer treatment. Mickey and I have known Edith since we lived in Richmond going back to the 60s. Rest in peace, dear Edith as does Mickey. Jan Hanrath

Edith and I have been friends since 1969 when we began working together at United Virginia Bank...and our lives have relinked through the years, as we've watched dear friends pass on. I regret that I've never gotten to know her family, but I've certainly heard lots of great stories over the years. My deepest sympathies to you all. As others have said in this guest book, it's so hard to believe she's gone. But she will live on in wonderful memories.

We have known Edith for over 50 years and feel great sorrow at learning of her death. We had talked with her the Sunday before she died and discussed coming to Richmond in the fall to see her and enjoy her legendary hospitality. We will be forever grateful for her visit to us in Charleston this past spring. Edith's humanity was a trademark that all who knew her benefited from.
