F. MOATES Obituary

MOATES, F. Vincent, 67, passed this life October 21, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Treasuring his love and companionship are his wife, Laura J. English; and their faithful 4-legger, Floyd; son, Michael V. Moates and wife, Bobbie Kay, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Robin Moates Morrison and husband, Bryan, of Richmond; grandkids, Berkley, Carter, and Tyler Moates and Jacob, Luke, and MacKenzie Morrison. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa Moates Wicker and husband, Jim; and brothers, David and wife, Doris, John and wife, Kathleen, and Larry and wife, Jane. He attended Benedictine High School and RPI. He was a member of 101st Airborne serving overseas followed by service in the Army Reserves. He loved his long career as an electrical engineer working in factory automation, the Redskins, and most of all his family who will miss him terribly. A celebration of his life will be held on November 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Abbey, 12829 River Rd., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial gifts to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1503 Michael Road, Richmond, Va. 23229, or Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1101 Horsepen Road, Richmond, Va. 23229.
