Laverne and Family,
We, like so many others, will miss the brightness, fortitude and resilience of Faye. I have known her since high school at Booker T. What a wonderful, strong and talented person she was.
John and I have you and your family in our prayers and ask that God will guide you through the grief process. We loved your mother and will miss her. Yet, we know she can say, "Free at Last, Free at Last". She is now in God's perpetual care.

Laverne, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am Julie and Lisa's mother and you, along with Sonja and Christy and my two girls, played together as children and are the children of childhood friends who all migrated to Richmond from Norfolk. I just found out about the passing of your mother. Your mother was such a smart, courageous and talented person. Remember that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God bless and comfort you and your family. Beverly Hill Murray, Julie Richardson and Lisa Murray

I am so sorry to hear about Faye's passing. My prayers and sympathies are with the family. Faye and I have known each other since we were about 5 years old and we went all the way through Booker T Washington in Norfolk together. I am sorry to say I have not seen her in quite awhile but she was truly an amazing person with a tremendous wealth of strength.

My deepest sympathy to Faye's family. Faye touched me and my mother very deeply. All the years I knew Faye and as she became wheel chair bound and beyond, she always said when asked how she was,"I can't complain." She gives me courage and I admire her so. May we all face lifes challenges with Faye's unyeilding grace, courage, and beauty. I know she and my mother Zelda, who adored Faye so much, will be reunited!

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Benton.
She was one of my best patients, when I worked at University Park. She always had a smile and yet she was very patient. I always enjoyed our talks when I would enter her room

I am sorry to hear of Faye's passing. I remember so vividly the fun with her when I was a child and the beautiful art work she created. She was so talented! Now you will paint and soar with our Heavenly Father! May the love and comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ be with Faye's loved ones. We are thinking about you and praying for your comfort, Laverne.
