Freda Peters Mollen

MOLLEN, Freda Peters, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. Born in Richmond, she was predeceased by the love of her life, Bernard Allen Mollen; her parents, Ida Copland Peters and Robert Simon Peters; a sister, Ruth Peters Jacobson; and a brother, Herbert Aaron Peters. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Barbara Lapkin; her son, Steven Brian Lapkin and his wife, Melanie; sister, Bernice Peters Jacobs; and grandson, Herbert Peters Lapkin; and several special friends who will mourn as family. Freda was always known for her classic appearance and flawless sense of style. She opened an elegant ladies bouquet named -freda--, which operated for over 35 years. Funeral services will be graveside today at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Richmond.
