It has been 20 years since her passing and we thought we would be grieving less by now. A lady like Gailann is hard to forget. I know I won’t and neither will the rest of the family.

I miss you very much Gailann. I keep looking at our graduation picture from VCU. You kept me going through it all and made it almost tolerable. I remember when I first met you I was your preceptor and we butted heads often, but we became good friends after. I enjoyed our Olive Garden adventures. You will be truly missed. My heart is heavy. I miss you and love you dearly. Amy

Gailann

You were the first new RN grad that I precepted. Boy, were you a challange. We butted heads on a daily basis, you did things your way. I grew to love you for that as well as the wonderful, warm and caring person I came to know. I always thought you'd be there, I still look at my e-mail everyday and expect a word or joke from you. Girl-you left us too soon. A great loss for many of us who loved you. A great loss for those who had yet to meet you. May you watch over your parents and brother while you are up there "getting things straight" I have no doubt that you are running the place if not second in charge. Love you and miss you everyday.

Gailann, I'm going to miss you! Devin, Ellie and Derian miss their "Aunt Gail" and Danny misses you too. I don't know if you ever realized how loved you were and how much a part of my family you were. You are the sister of my heart. We have been together through thick and thin.....you were there when my babies were born and you taught me how to drive. For 21 years you've been the best friend I've ever had. It never mattered if we talked every day or once a month. When we talked it was for hours catching up.

The memory of you that keeps popping in my head is us in highschool driving in your big old maroon car, playing REO Speedwagon as loud as we could stand and singing at the top of our lungs.....working at Taco Bueno in Tulsa and both of our graduations at BTW High School. Parties at your parents house, at our first apartment together. I remember helping you study to pass your first EMT test at 2am at the Village Inn. You helping with my english papers in college....there are so many memories and all of them are wonderful. I keep wanting to call you, it pops into my head that "I need to call Gail"...but you're not there. I know you are in a better place in my heart, but I miss you so.

I always will.

I know that I have a stong angel on my side now.....I had her before on earth but you were meant to fly, just like we always sang with REO.

I LOVE YOU!!

My tears are not of loss

But of time too quickly gone.

I miss our days together

Even while they're going on.

I savor odd, sweet moments

When you laugh or when you smile,

Nostalgic for your presence

Though you're with me all the while.

And so when once you leave

You will not leave me alone,

For I will have you with me

Long, long after you are home.

I'm really going to miss you Gailann.

Love, Scott

Gailann's passing is a shock, and a reminder to all who love her... to be more loving to each other, more giving of ourselves, and to cherish our days with one another. Only the good die young... Miss you - K&C

I can't believe it. Gailann was so full of life - you always knew when she was around. I have very fond memories of her. Always willing to offer help at any time regardless of how she was feeling herself - would put others before herself. Always had opinions but would listen to others as well, and would readily apologise if she was wrong. I loved the amount of energy that flowed around her at all times. I can't believe she has gone - the world will be a sadder place for it. I hope she will be in peace now.

I will miss you my friend. You were always there when I needed you the most to comfort and guide me through my most difficult times.

You always had a way of knowing when I needed your friendship the most. With all the miles between us and schedules so crazy we would not talk often but when I needed a friend...there you were.

Thank you for all your support and guidance. Thank you for touching my life. Thank you for being my friend.

I will miss you.

To her family:

Bruce Delphia and I worked with Gailann both at West End and with

RAA. She could be difficult and stubborn at times, but she always made you laugh. She would support you no matter what and would be there if you needed something. I tell people that if you asked Gailann for $10.00, she would give you $15.00. She had several parties over the past year and unfortunately we never made it to any of them, we wish we had found the time. She was a very caring person and she will be missed. So Sorry for you loss.

Mary Ann, George, and Mike,

I am tremendously upset at the news of Gail's passing. When I think of my most memorable times in the past few years, Gail always comes to mind. She had a big heart and was one of the most giving people I know. I will miss her deeply and I know you will too. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

All my love,

Malinda

Gailann was a wonderful friend to have. If she were your friend you could always count on her telling you exactly what she was thinking.. even if you didn't want to hear it. She would always make the time to listen to you when life didn't go your way. That is a sign of a true friend. I never once felt tossed aside by her she was always there for me. Gail was someone who would call late at night and would share her hopes and dreams with you, while she listened to yours.Gailann will be sorely missed, not a day will go by that i won't think of her. My only consolation is that I know She is in a happier place.
