George Daniel Obituary

DANIEL, George, age 85, of Tappahannock, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010. He was preceded in death by his infant grandson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Daniel; children, George Stephen Daniel and Beverly H. Daniel; brother, Donald Hayes Daniel; stepchildren, Martin D. Gray, Susan M. Herring and L. Timothy Gray; three stepgrandchildre; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. He was a veteran with the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving on D-Day in June 1944 at the Normandy Invasion. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Warsaw Baptist Church, Warsaw, Va. Interment will follow in Warsaw Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. J. Michael Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, SEBTS Financial Development, P.O. Box 1889, Wake Forest, N.C. 27588, or ChildFund International, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, Va. 23294-3726.
