FREDERICK, Gertrude Isaac, daughter of the late Willie and Elese Isaac Daniel, was born February 11, 1934 in Halifax County. She departed this life on January 10, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. She attended the public schools in Halifax County. Her husband, Joe June Frederick; her parents, Willie and Elese Isaac; and one brother, Robert Lee Isaac, preceded her in death. Her precious memory will forever be in the hearts of her two sons, Joe L. Frederick (Patricia) of Uniondale, N.Y. and Collin Frederick (Bessie) of Battleboro, N.C.; her two daughters, Jeanette Whitaker (George) of Richmond, Va. and Elease Frederick of Enfield, N.C.; three sisters, Willie Mae Fenner (Robert) and Marjorie Jones, all of Freeport, N.Y., and Gerthena Parker of Newark, N.J.; her brothers, Roy Lee Isaac (Minnie) of Hempstead, N.Y., Johnny Isaac (Maxine) of Enfield, N.C., Curtis Isaac (Corlisa) of Hempstead, N.Y., Phillip Isaac of Freeport, N.Y., Joe Pittman (Betty) of Richmond, Va.; her four grandchildren, Denise F. Breeden (Elwin) of Durham, N.C., George Whitaker Jr. of Richmond, Va., Tiffany and Brittany Frederick of Uniondale, N.Y.; one great- granddaughter, Maya Elease Breeden of Durham, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Lou McCullen (Harvey) of Mount Olive, N.C., Alice Faye Parker of Goldsboro, N.C.; three brothers-in-law, James Thomas "Tom" of Mount Olive, N.C., Lenzy Ray Frederick of Goldsboro, N.C., and William Hicks Sr. (Betty) of Faison, N.C.; a very special friend, Lisa Arrington; and a host of others relatives, special neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 6734 Thirteen Bridges Rd., Enfield, N.C. at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010. The eulogy will be done by Rev. Jimmie Lowe. Clark Funeral Home in Enfield, N.C. is in charge of the arrangements.
