You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. My fondest memory of Gertrude was her frequent calls to check on Mama when she was sick.
During one of those calls she shared a treasured tidbit that Mama had always told us but now in her illness was unable to speak.
Gertrude said to me, "pray, pour out your heart to God,not a timid prayer,
pray boldly, give it all to God and have faith that he will answer."
I did just that. Those words from Gertrude gave me strength and sustained me through the nine months of Mother's illness and continue to be
my daily refuge and strength.
Now in your time of sorrow, I give you back Gertrude's faith in God. Be encouraged, and may loving memories give you strength.
I lift you up in prayer and leave you with John 14:1-3 (NKJV)
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you; I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am , there you may be also.
With Sympathy
