HARRIS, Mother Gloria Ann entered eternal life October 20, 2009 at her residence. Mother Harris was a founding member of the Victory Tabernacle Baptist Church, where her son, Elder J. Kevin Harris, pastors. She was affectionately called and considered the church mother. She served as a private duty nurse for over 40 years serving many prominent city officials and C.E.O.'s in the hospitals, nursing homes and private homes in the Richmond area. Remembering the good times are her four children, Rosalind E. Brown, Eva Sayles, Danette Friend (Mitchell), and J. Kevin Harris (Ruth); six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Avenue, where viewing will be held Sunday October 25, 2009, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 26, 2009, 11 a.m. at The Temple of Judah, 2120 Venable Street, Bishop Melvin Williams, Pastor, Archbishop Roy E. Brown, eulogist. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Remains will rest in Church one hour prior to services.
