LANDIS, Gloria Rodgers, passed away May 31, 2010 in Richmond, Va. She was born and raised in Crewe, Va. in 1925 to Virginia and James W. Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, James W. Jr., Charles G. (Cora) and Harold (Dorothy). She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Landis. She leaves behind her beloved cousin, Page Aylor (Russ); sister-in-law, Dorothy; her niece, Vickie Lewis (Ricky); and nephews, James Rodgers and Rob Rodgers (Edythe). Gloria will be missed by many, but especially by her dear friend, Joyce Valenti. She also leaves behind friends, co-workers and caregivers from VA Hospital, Stratford Hills UMC and CENN. A graveside service will be held at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newby's Bridge Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832, on June 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. Anita Mays, Chaplain from The Hermitage UMH Pastoral Care staff, will officiate. Please, no flowers. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Gloria's memory.

I worked with Gloria at the McGuire VA Medical Center until her retirement. She will be greatly missed.
