Hazel Allen Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Jun. 29, 2010.
ALLEN, Hazel Harvey, 85, of Varina, peacefully left this world to be home with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 27, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Walter Allen; and is survived by her four children, Brenda Reid and husband, Barry, Joe Allen and wife, Arleen, Larry Allen and wife, Kathy, and Cindy Hudson and husband, Rocky; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Hazel was a member of Hardy Central Baptist Church and took pride in being an original member of their senior band, The Ramblers. As a devout Christian, she had a lifelong love for mission work, sponsored the building of new churches overseas, and engaged in multiple mission trips to China, Japan, Australia, Peru, Botswana, Russia, and India. The family wishes to thank the staff of Covenant Columns Manor for their loving care, and her church family for their support. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Hardy Central Baptist Church on Sunday, July 18, at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hardy Central Baptist Church.

I am sorry to hear that Granny has left this world and went to be with the Lord. Still I remember our first meet, warm hug and the great support she gave me in doing biblical studies and our Lords ministry. She was so loving and compassionate person. She was truly God's angel who came to this world to bless and prepare God's servants like me to extend our Lord's Kingdom. I believe God is pleased with her. My deep condolences and prayers with her Family members and her loved ones.
