Helen Brookman

BROOKMAN, Helen Delores, 78, of Culpeper, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at her residence. She was born October 10, 1931 in Lignum to the late Jenephar Scott and Gladys Virginia Hitt Jones. She is survived by her children, Patricia Foan and her husband, Gordon, of Providence Forge, Va., Michael Brookman and his friend, Becky, of Rixeyville, and Rebecca Durrette and her husband, Donald, of Culpeper; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Eugene Brookman. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Denise Vogt officiating. Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lael Baptist Church, P.O. Box 39, Lignum, Va. 22726, and/or Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, Va. 22701.
